Our self catering cottage
has been awarded Visit Scotland's 3 star accreditation and
Ancestral Tourism welcome scheme. The cottage comfortably
sleeping up to 6, can
accommodate a range of families or small group.
Our L-shaped traditionally
stone built cottage dates from around 1860 and has since been
extended and modernised. It is believed to have formed
part of the
Comlongon
Castle estate, now a famous wedding venue.
Situated on the Burns and Solway Coast heritage trail,
Ruthwell lies between Annan and
Dumfries, and each town is
easily accessible. Carlisle can be reached by car in half an
hour and the larger cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh are less
than 2 hours drive. Gretna Green, the romantic wedding
location is less than 30 minutes by car.
